The Zika Virus first made waves last year and while the news has died down a bit, experts are warning pregnant women to still treat the threat seriously. That’s because two pregnant women from Utah recently lost their babies after contracting the dangerous infection.
And while the virus doesn’t pose a huge risk for the average traveler, for a pregnant women it can be very risky. Zika can be passed from a pregnant woman to her fetus. Health officials are continuing to test for the Zika virus because people are still traveling to areas where Zika virus is spreading.
