Jillian discussed how hard it is to grow up with the disorder, especially as a young woman who wants to be “pretty,” but is struggling with a hidden disease that causes her to pull her hair out. At the age of 18, Jillian made the bold move to shave her head. Now 21, she has had her hair shaved for almost three years and says that keeping her hair short has taken away her urge to pull.
