Getting a tattoo is a very personal decision, as is the reason you get one. For some people a tattoo is just about the experience or it’s done on a whim. Other people might see a tattoo as a form of expression and you can show off your individuality through the ink you’ve got. Others, well, it’s a way to hold on to something — a person, item, or space in time — that means a lot to you. There are so many ways to use tattooing as a way to memorialize and these tattoos can be more than beauty.
We all know that a tattoo is permanent. It stays on you forever unless you pay even more money and go through even more pain to have it taken off your skin with a laser. That sucks so it’s always a wise decision to put some thought into what you want your tattoo to be. Through all stages of your life.
That means you have to wonder what it will look like when you’re older; and maybe not a huge fan of One Direction anymore. Or the phrase that you thought was cool or funny goes out of style.
Again, that’s why choosing a tattoo that has a lot of meaning behind it is the best route to go. And that’s what one teenager did when she got a tattoo.
