Hard to believe but we’re already half way through summer vacation. Are you surviving? Three of my kids go to a summer camp for the month of July, which is awesome, but once August comes they’re home full time with me.
As someone who works part time from home, summer vacation can be tough because kids don’t always understand that parents have to work and can’t be there to do fun summer stuff with them 24/7. I’m very grateful for video games and television and YouTubers at this point of the summer because it keeps my kids occupied while I can get some work done.
It seems I’m not alone either. One mom has written about how television has saved her sanity over the summer months and how she doesn’t feel remotely bad about sticking her kids in front of the TV so she can get some work done, despite the judgement the ‘perfect moms’ throw at her.
Can you relate?
