For many women, living with postpartum depression is a hidden journey. It’s a pain that is hard to describe and it’s a disorder that can be hard to see from the outside. Some women cope with PPD by pretending everything is OK and some manage to fool even those closest to them by presenting a “mask” of keeping it all together.
But the inside tells a different story. And in fact, for women who stay home with their young children, their day-to-day reality of living with PPD can be very different from what the rest of the world sees.
