This past weekend, the release of the movie Wonder Woman broke all kinds of barriers. The movie brought in over 103.1 million dollars during its opening weekend, the highest-grossing sum ever for a movie that was directed by a woman. (Which, I mean, only makes sense, right?) It’s been lauded as the first official movie to have a superhero female in a lead role.
But aside from some kick-ass effects, tons of girl power, and that hard-as-a-rock bra that could ward off the advances of any creeper, Wonder Woman is also breaking barriers in one very empowering way.
